Loser List #2: Safwat Higazi (and anyone else who thinks Queen Esther is in the Starbucks logo)

Queen Esther? More like Queen Vashti...
Queen Esther? More like Queen Vashti...

First wine, now coffee.

An Egyptian cleric is calling on the Arab world to boycott world renowned coffee supplier Starbucks because he believes that it’s logo originates from the image of Queen Esther, the character from the story from the Jewish holiday of Purim. Sold Out – Guaranteed.

I’ve said it once, but I’ll say it again: when someone takes a shot at Israel or anything/anyone in the Toronto Jewish community: the entire community comes out to show it’s overwhelming support.

Normally one of the most anticipated days of the year in my book, this year’s coming of April 1st didn’t exactly pan out the way I wanted it to be.

According to Facebook source, the Summerhill LCBO has 80 cases of wine with 12 bottles per case. That is a total of 960 bottles.

The word is that 342 people said they will be buying wine (by the time this message was sent to me by counter-protest organizers). As of now 488 have confirmed on the Facebook group that they will be attending the anti-protest.

I’m very pleased to to see that NION won’t  intimidate the Jewish community in support of Israel and buying out the entire selection of wine is a likely reality.

The Facebook Haggadah

I know this has been going around for a few days at least, but I was just shown this tonight and it was flat out funny.
